Protection built into every project
Everden documents the agreed scope, price, responsibilities and warranty terms before work begins. We carry $2M in commercial general liability coverage, are bonded, and coordinate licensed trades and permits when the work requires them on bathroom and kitchen renovations in Winnipeg.

Three protections you can verify
These are practical protections that can be explained and documented before work begins.
$2M liability coverage
Commercial general liability coverage. Certificate available on request.
Bonded
Everden is bonded. Bonding is separate from liability insurance and complements, rather than replaces, the written agreement for your project.
Licensed trades
Regulated plumbing, electrical and other applicable work is completed by appropriately licensed trades where required.
Your project is documented before work begins
The agreement should make the important decisions visible before construction starts.
Written agreement
The agreed scope, selections, price, payment schedule and project responsibilities are documented before work begins.
Changes approved in writing
If the scope changes, the added or removed work, price and timing are documented before the affected work proceeds.
Written workmanship warranty
Your agreement includes project-specific workmanship warranty terms, including coverage and exclusions.
The rules depend on what is being changed
A renovation does not need the same permits simply because it is a bathroom or kitchen. The permit and trade requirements depend on the work included in the scope.
Plumbing
A Winnipeg plumbing permit is required for construction, alteration, repair, extension or renewal of plumbing systems. Same-location fixture replacement can be exempt when the plumbing system is not modified.
Electrical
Electrical permits are generally required for construction, alteration, repair or extension of electrical systems. Some same-location replacements can be exempt when the City conditions are met.
What Everden coordinates
We confirm what applies to the agreed scope and coordinate required permit and inspection steps with the appropriate licensed trade when applicable.

Protection and paperwork questions, answered

Everden is bonded. Bonding is a separate contractor credential from liability insurance and does not replace your written agreement. If you want current credential details before signing, ask us and we will provide what applies.
Yes. Regulated plumbing, electrical and other applicable work is assigned to appropriately licensed trades where required. In Winnipeg, licensed contractors are required for various regulated trade permits and work.
The requirement depends on the scope. Everden confirms what applies and coordinates required permit and inspection steps with the appropriate trade when applicable. Plumbing guidance · Electrical guidance.
Yes. The agreement documents the project scope, selections, price, payment schedule, responsibilities, timing provisions and warranty terms before the work proceeds.
If conditions or selections change the agreed scope, the affected work is paused while the change, price and timing are explained. Approved changes are documented in writing before the affected work proceeds.
Everden provides a written, project-specific workmanship warranty. The agreement explains the coverage period, covered workmanship and exclusions. Manufacturer warranties on products remain separate.
Consumer rights can depend on the type of transaction and how the contract is entered into. If Manitoba direct-sales rules apply, additional licensing, contract and cancellation requirements may apply. Everden does not treat every renovation as a direct sale, and the agreement does not waive non-waivable statutory rights. View The Consumer Protection Act.
